Military Family Support
Year-round coordination for approved family needs, community resources, volunteer support, and trusted referrals.
Our mission
Military families and veterans carry responsibilities that often reach far beyond the uniform. This program is being built to meet practical needs through trusted local relationships, careful stewardship, and direct community participation.
Each initiative has its own purpose, but the standard remains the same: protect privacy, respect the people being served, and turn goodwill into organized help that makes a measurable difference.
Program portfolio
The program is broader than one season. Each initiative is developed with clear safeguards, responsible partners, and a practical path from support to impact.
Year-round coordination for approved family needs, community resources, volunteer support, and trusted referrals.
A private, thoughtfully matched seasonal program supporting children from participating military families.
A developing partnership to place mechanically sound donated vehicles with screened veterans who need reliable transportation.
Seasonal family support
Children age 18 and younger from participating New Orleans-area Marine families are matched through a private, unit-supported process.
Family-readiness contacts manage eligibility and keep personal information protected.
Only age, interests, and approved gift guidance are shared. No surnames, addresses, phone numbers, or financial details are provided.
Siblings remain together so the family experience stays coordinated and complete.
Program volunteers verify labeling, timing, and delivery readiness.
The program may include food, activities, holiday traditions, and time together.
Volunteer and partner
Businesses, civic groups, veterans organizations, and individual volunteers can support the program in practical, well-defined ways.
Provide coordinated gifts for one participating family while honoring the program's privacy safeguards.
Organize an employee giving campaign with one point of contact and clear collection deadlines.
Help with gift intake, organization, wrapping, celebration setup, hospitality, or distribution.
Contribute food, event support, transportation, storage, printing, or other approved program needs.
Veteran transportation
Cars for Vets is being developed as a partnership among vehicle donors, automotive professionals, civic organizations, and military and veterans-service resources.
The goal is to place mechanically sound vehicles with screened veterans for whom reliable transportation will create the greatest practical benefit.

Program leadership
The effort is chaired by Valerie Clark, a Marine wife and Marine mom, in collaboration with military-family volunteers and prospective community partners across Greater New Orleans.
The program is developing deliberately: establish trusted operating practices, protect participating families, and build partnerships capable of supporting seasonal and year-round initiatives responsibly.
